possible impeachment of President Nixon
- As First Lady she watched helplessly
as her husband became the second impeached president
- During the campaign and her eight
years in the White House, she was kept busy dodging innuendos
of sexually misconduct by her husband
- She once claimed a right-wing conspiracy
was out to destroy her husband's administration
- Hillary had troubles of her own as
she became the first First Lady subpoenaed by Congress when she
was called to testify of alleged wrongdoing in a land deal known
as "Whitewater"
- The first lawyer to be First Lady,
Mrs. Clinton became a working member of her husband's Cabinet,
spearheading a failed national health care plan
- As First Lady she granted an exclusive
interview to NBC-TV, but warned the network not to ask questions
concerning the sexual prowless of her husband; NBC cancelled
the interview
- Mrs. Clinton made history as the first
former First Lady to hold elected office when she won the senatorial
race in New York in the 2000 election
