- Clinton was simultaneously on the ballot for governor and
lt. governor of New York, and after winning both elections he
kept both positions
- When he ran for reelection, the Federalist candidate defeated
him, but as governor he declared the votes from three counties
invalid and stayed in office for another term
- While in Congress he openly disagreed with the entire premise
of the Constitution, and refused to vote for its ratification
- He disagreed with the creation of the office of vice president,
stating it was an unnecessary position
- When asked to take the vie president position he say yes,
however
- Clinton was the first vice president to serve in two different
administrations, Jefferson and Madison
- He was the first vice president to die in office Vice
